Police: Newark Teens Used Instagram To Lure Armed Robberies Victims

Police in Newark arrested 16- and 17-year-old males who they say used Instagram to lure the two victims they robbed at gunpoint.

The teens posed as a female on Instagram to lure two victims to a home near the 400 block of Irvine Turner Blvd. on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to police.

They robbed one man at his own house around noon, and another that same day around 8 p.m., authorities said.

Both teens were charged with several weapons offenses, robbery, conspiracy and possession of marijuana.
